As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

Conor, they arrived safely and I'm delighted. Off to the hospice shop this morning to measure up the frames they have.
Comrade. I'll let you know when we are ready for a Private View!

Framed but not hung Comrade. Two almost matching frames from Hospice shop for £15. I have to put the details on the back yet including the cutting from the Clutton and Temple Coud news which describes me as 'A complete stranger from the North of England [who] asked Conor to draw a picture of himself from a photograph of himself as a war-time refugee.' Ah well, at least they didn't get the name wrong. Prints are pull number 2 from an edition of 99 so the kids will have to fight over them when the Lad gets famous!
PS. Just the thing that would grace a certain refurbished knicker shop in Barlick!

Web site. Opened OK for me Conor but I have a fast connection. There is a lag on the grey screen followed by a brief white image in the middle that vanishes as the home page opens. Looks as though you have a little glitch in there and this could be what is causing the problem particularly if it's a slow connection. Better if it went straight to the home page, it isn't doing that at the moment. Picky I know, but you did ask!

thankyou for checking the web site, i think the people that cannot see it dont have flash player. i cannot see my site if i use my iphone as they dont support flash players so thats a bit annoying as i wish i had known that before i done the web site, but whats done is done. i will have to live with it. but i am pleased to hear i am reaching australia!!!
mum took my drawings to a gallery today, good news they loved my art work and said they will take anything that i produce, and they have taken some of the LTD Editions to sell.
stanley your drawings look good in those frames, i like them. good job :)

Conor, why don't you put a line on the homepage to say that the site is best viewed with flashplayer and a link to the Adobe download.
It works ok for me by the way. Simple, straight to the point and no information overload, well done.

i have just tried it again on my iphone and although the brower says i am on www.conorfarr.co.uk the page says to view this site you need to download flashplayer and a link to adobe flashplayer to download, so i guess thats all i can do.
thanks panbiker, that was the idea. plain and simple, as stanley says it does what it says on the tin :)

Comrade, always here hard at work except for 11-12 work out on Letcliffe. Give a call on 813527 or bring Misty and meet on Letcliffe.
Conor, pics have gone down well but no reaction fom my kids yet! I think they may be wondering whether I have gone into my 'Reprehensible Phase'. Very perceptive comment from one reliable source was that you've mastered the technique, now what you need to do is apply that to producing original work not just copies of photographs. I didn't argue by pointing out that these are original but she has a good general point and it's worth thinking about.
Still mulling over the place to hang them......

I'm using Flashblock to prevent flash loading automatically in my Firefox browser and Conor's site comes up as a black screen but there is the usual icon in the middle to let me choose to click it and view the site. It also has Conor's name etc on the tab. When I click to trigger flash then the home page comes up fast.

I got mail from Janet yesterday:
"I decided to put aside my 3,500 word assault on you as to why this purchase is inappropriate and asked your granddaughter's what they thought.Holly 16 - busy trying to get into uni to do a double major in chemistry and genetics, said "awesome, good on yer mate"
Yiota 14 - recently turned vegetarian and released into the wilds of a public High School after being in a Montessori school for 11 years said "err, why? It's a bit weird, I don't really have an opinion. That's not like Granddad....is it?" (i'm not sure whether she was asking whether the subject matter was you or whether she was referring to your character) So, no support for my campaign against dirty old men, just don't expect me to dust them when I come to your house."
So, Holly is now my bestest friend! Hee Hee! Question now is do I get the tatoo....
