As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

you lot are mad!! haha i think i will just work hard myself and get these drawings out. and keep my fingers crossed for my gcse marks. mum and dad are giving me money per exam depending on each mark. the higher the grade the higher the pay out.
they said that they dont want to buy me a car. that i will appreciate it more if i have worked for it myself. something about easy come easy go. so they came up with that idea of giving me money. the better i do the more i get. so that ive worked and had to study to get the marks for the money to buy the car myself. my great grandad has said he will give me £15 for everyone i pass too so i shouldnt do too badly..... fingers crossed for aug 24th when i get my results

There should be a system where new drivers like Conor could take extra, advanced lessons, get a certificte for passing an advanced test, get some references to vouch for their common sense etc, then get a 75% discount!
Someone mentioned the insurer Adrian Flux . We had a special mini in the 1980s and got it insured by his firm.

there is an advanced plus that you can do that will give you a hefty discount. it involves motorway driving and you take it after you have passed your test, i think its about £50 for the course but i think its 30 or 40% off the £2500 insurance price. so its well worth doing. i will do it as soon as i pass my test

Conor - the late Sir John Harvey-Jones, former chairman of ICI, did a TV programme about the Morgan sports car company. They had a five year waiting list for their cars. He advised them to raise their prices until the waiting list went down to (say) six months. They did not take his advice, as they said money was not their only motivation. Perhaps you should give capitalism a chance, and do something similar? Copy the insurance company, and tell your clients you have to charge more because you are so young!

you know the very best bit of drawing someone is their eyes. i just love eyes. so to me glasses are a cop out. i would much prefer to draw his eyes but this is the photo she likes of him. the glasses arnt hard to do. eyes ar alot harder to do well. i think my next drawing is gonna be of a dead sexy woman with some great eyes. the men here will love that. and i did say a great pair of eyes!!!! haha

Yes, it's giving the appearance of eyes behind the specs that I was referring to.

thanks belle, hopefully it will look good when ive done more. sometimes i add 5 or 6 layers depending on how dark something is. the glasses arnt too dark so there are some details that show underneath, so its nice youve noticed this early on

Could I suggest a live sexy woman? Possibly a widow?

Conor, this is the sort of widow Stanley would be looking for - she would have to have her own jeep of course! (See this link)
