Tom. you'll have to start drinking in the house like me. i'm sick of getting lost when i come out of the snipe at 3am in the morning.

Thats no good Bob,the Mrs keeps moving the furniture round,woke up under the stairs last week,,,,you need a piece of string from your house to the Snipe or just a lashin' ,your close enough

Doesn't need all that gear on the tower,I could have done it with a lashing ,wire brush and a Turks head,hehe

I recognise the water tower at Strangeways, last time I was there was when Peter was dropping the Salford Corporation destructor chimney. Good pic Bob. Tom, I suppose you're right, I can't remember where I read it.

i stand corrected on the tower it is owned by the council and run by a group called merlin the winter gs tower and other bits cost just over 40 million bob s s s was just over in price ,,,, it wants knockin i say while scraps a good price ha ha knowing the council when its been revamped they propably will,,,,

New Brighton tower was scrapped,it was taller than Blackpool tower but a bit flimsy..

2493 tons of steel at £200 a ton £498,600 if my calcs are right plus the cast iron bit of non ferrous metal would be a good un to knock wouldnt get mr taylor up it though lol ,,, would need a big high reach for it ,,,

there as been a lot of activaty on winter gardens cant really tell whats going on to busy me but the scaffold is over the top of the stack can see toe boards stood up i reckon they are dropping a flue down the stack to a new boiler only an inklin going to blackburn with high reach in morn to be in bpool loading just after 5 that will wake the seagulls and pigeons wont it ha ha
