Peter I was cold called not so long ago by a car salesman we had bought a car from 6 years earlier. He was now working for a different dealer, but had kept our data !!!!

You start worrying when someone who had worked at your bank rings you from another bank looking for custom!

Bradders how specific would you like me to be ?? China has said that it would support a United Korea with the South in control. That was information that they didn't want to be in the public domain and if you need me to be specific on why, You shouldn't be asking the questions. Japan has said if North Korea is not reigned in they will build a Nuclear Bomb estimates are 12/18 months from start to finish, followed quickly by Taiwan. To follow on from someone else's post. I feel I need to educate. So just for you If you type the words" Americans call for Death Penalty on Wikileaks Whistle Blower" into GOOGLE it will give you all the information you ask me to supply, so see I am helping you and I gave you the link to the Daily Telegraph as well. You need to leave the joint's alone they do say, that they cause Brain Damage !!!!!

I was told this afternoon of the sad death of a friend and neighbour. Mikes home was next door where his Mother had lived, but he only came a couple of times a year, and at Christmas he would spend a few weeks here with his Fiance. Mike had the kind of job that kept him overseas and it was also the kind of job that only the very brave would undertake, he was a mine clearance engineer. But it was not one of those foul devices that ended his life. Most of his time was spent in Africa, the last time I saw him he was "made up" his fiance who lives in Vietnam had given birth to his daughter, and he had been to see her for the first, and sadly the last time. Mike caught malaria on his return to Africa and this was followed by Typhoid, he was put on an air ambulance bound for the tropical diseases unit at Liverpool hospital, sadly he did not hold out. Thim, his fiance, is arriving next week with her sister and the baby, she is a lovely person and I cannot imagine what she is going through. But she is coming to Barlick, and we will do our best for her, thats how we are here, and I will bloody well miss Mike, an ex serviceman and a damned good one.

Woolass loses appeal, by-election for Oldham East and Saddleworth. Chater stops lying and pleads guilty. Good in both cases, looks as though there is still some justice in the system.
Heard a comment is morning about some erotic poetry written by Machiavelli (Wrote 'The Prince' for hundreds of years the politicians handbook, still in print) The commentator said it shewed he was 'fallible'. Don't understand that, aren't we all? What difference does writing erotica make? Remember Alastair Campbell and the erotic articles for Forum?

Listening to the debate about the current Wikileak regarding the mythical 'special relationship' with the US. I've always thought that this strange need for the political equivalent of a 'best friend' was more about trying to preserve the UK's place 'at the top table' in terms of foreign relations and status in the world. A peculiarly British attitude smacking of lost empire and a 19th century view of the world. It's possible to be an effective partner without being a supplicant.

Just reminded me of a great song by Blind Blake.....
"He's in the Jailhouse Now"
OK, it doesn't quite fit , but it's worth a listen...

Bradders, it's not difficult to do a link, you have to try!! If I can do it, so can you. Copy the link you want to put in. Highlight a portion of text like "worth a listen " and you will see the chain become available as a tool on the top bar. Click on the chain and paste your link into the Insert box. Thats all you have to do...try it now.

Brads, no sooner said..........
Pension details arrived in post this morning. 99% certain that I'm going to end my public sector career late March 2011.
I have some new work in the private sector sorted out working for 3 child care providers on a part time basis. I'm to meet with the head of a large national organisation who want me to undertake some work for the. Some slight trepidation but I cannot stand working for my present employer any longer.
