As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

No oooooo! "Still" images CAN convey the idea of movement ......I'm not suggesting a fudge , honestly .
I know it's easier for the photographer , but you only have to look at some of the "aeroplane and marine " artists work to see the technique.
I don't personally like the pictures of "Spitfires and Hurricanes in Dogfights " much , but there is definite "movement " there.....
I'm no artist , but even I can draw an image of a propeller at rest and one which is turning....so why not a hand ?
(we won't fall out over this , though ...eh !)

Belle, I think Brad is correct, movement can be conveyed in stills or even statues. Trust a Steeplejerk to find a solution to the hand! Conor, If you mean what I think you mean and you hide the hand in the knickers you may well cause a fluttering in the dovecote! Mind you, Tom would be all in favour. Lovely thread!

If you go back to the early pages of this topic Conor, you will find some of Tom's drawings (and your early ones put on by your mum!)

I was messing about Conty,I did the hat in colour at first but got it wrong,i thought itmight have been nice/wacky,still think it could work, will have to experiment more,so to cover it i gave him a jet black hat !!,btw, thats an exceptional pair of pantsand the hand is very good..

Lovely, why does it remind me of "Never mind the quality, feel the width!"
Looks just like two fingers assessing cloth quality. Nice bit of smutter!
Youg Tom is talking in code.....
