As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

if it helps, the secomd hand doesn't particularly look masculine, it just doesn't look as feminine as the first hand.

I'll be honest Conty, I think this picture is bordering on something that is less than your considerable talent should be applying itself too, and I ask myself who will these pics attract to the site?

Tom, my avatar is an iconic image known all over the world, famously drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci. If you look back at Conty's postings one of his first was a life drawing, which I have absolutely no problem with, have done plenty myself and it is a recognised and respected art study. The introdution of scanty lace panties and sugestive posing can turn art into something else, this is the considered view of many in the art world. I do not want to put Conty off, nor do I want to run down his considerable talent, but he is young, and like many a starlet who go on to be famous may do some early work in order to get noticed that later he may live to regret.

Belle and Wendy,we will have to agree to disagree, suggestive posing in art,outrageous....i once saw a self portrait in a gallery years ago,it was intitled masturbation, now then ,i never understood where that guy was coming from(no pun intended)

I don't think Conor is using them to attract people to the site, just asking our opinions of his work.

The original needs to be put away in a safe deposit vault. It will be worth thousands in a few years time.

see stanley, i told you.... marmite... but i would like to say that i dont think i will ever look back and have regrets about any of my work as i am trying to grow and try all kinds of things, until i find my niche. i would never do something that i think would upset anyone, its just not my intention to shock the veiwer. but tom is right i would not be happy drawing lace curtains, but i have always enjoyed posting my work here as i think i get an honest over veiw of your opinions good or bad i am not offended. its good to hear what you honestly think. so dont worry. i thought i would post just a little piece that i done today, only about 30 mins work, but i thought id have a go at using acrylics for a change, so i painted my all time hero Pablo Picasso and thinking of his blue period, i thought i would paint him blue. i was pleased with the result considering the time i spent on it and could do better with more time, anyway heres my first attempt

Conty, well done for taking the comments in just the spirit they were meant and not getting all petty, you are more mature than some of the rest of us on here. I am glad you won't regret anything and will say no more, except it's great to see you experimnting with acrylics, and that you like Pablo Picasso's blue period, so do I!
